Slab job processes for Kitchen and Bath:
1. Kitchen:
1) Estimate: Clients can get some cost idea from us for demolition, preparation, fabrication and installation. It will be good that clients can bring drawing to our store and consult with our sales team about color, design ideas and cost. Fax or E-mail is ok too.
2) Color Selection:
• Natural stone: Clients will choose the slab colors from our slab vendors and Artistic Stone will inform clients how many slabs they need for their project.
• Quartz: Clients will decide color by sample and Artistic Stone will order after signing contract.
3) Contract Signing and Deposit payment:
Clients can come in store to sign the paper work or we can E-mail to clients the paper work.
4) Schedule and Process:
• Demolition and Plywood (Optional): Clients need to remove all the kitchen wares from counter top and drawers underneath the counter. Artistic Stone will cover the flooring before demolition. After demotion done, AS will put new plywood on and level it. AS will make template after leveling done. AS will also disconnect the sink while demolition.
• Clients will come to our San Leandro store to tape the slabs with Project Management team by the template made by our installation team.
• Fabrication: Artistic Stone will need at least 5-10 business days to do the fabrication which will depend on the season, color and job detail.
• Installation: Artistic Stone will need 1-2 business days for most of the kitchen installation. Some jobs may take longer time.
• Maintenance: AS will clean and put sealant on right after installation.
• Connection: Clients will schedule with their own plumbers for water, gas and electricity hook up and it is better to do it in 24 hours.
2. Shower, tub and vanity
1) Estimate: Clients get some rough ideas from our Sales Team and Artistic Stone will send our team over to the house for final measurement if clients like AS's quote and service. Then Sales Team will give client final price.
2) Color Selection:
• Natural stone: Clients will choose the slab colors from our slab vendors and Artistic Stone will inform clients how many slabs they need for their project.
• Quartz: Clients will decide color by sample and Artistic Stone will order after signing contract.
• Contract Signing and Deposit payment:
3) Clients can come in store to sign the paper work or we can E-mail the paper work to clients. After clients pay the deposit and sign the paper work, we will get the slabs over to our San Leandro warehouse.
4) Schedule and Process
A. Shower:
• Demolition (Optional): AS will remove existing shower walls, pan and door.
• Plumbing: Clients' plumber will come to do rough plumbing for drain and pipe.
• Preparation (Optional): AS will do the water-proofing for shower pan and wait for the inspection. Then we will do the wall preparation after inspection passed. Our team will take template after all preparation done.
• Clients' plumber will come back to double check the plumbing again before we put slabs on the wall.
• Clients will come to our warehouse to tape the slabs with our Project Management Team by the final template.
• Fabrication: Artistic Stone will need at least 6-12 business days to do the fabrication which will depend on the season, color and job details.
• Installation: Artistic Stone will need 2-4 business days for most of shower installation. Some jobs may take longer time.
• Maintenance: AS will clean and put sealant on right after installation.
• Connection: Clients will schedule with their own plumbers for water connection and it is better to do it in 24 hours.
B. Tub:
• Demolition (Optional): AS will remove existing tub walls, tub (if change) and door.
• Plumbing: Clients' plumber will come to do rough plumbing for drain/ pipe and put Tub in the place if clients want to put new tub.
• Preparation (Optional): AS will do the wall preparation after tub in. Our team will take measurement after all preparation done.
• Clients will come to our warehouse to tape the slabs with our Project Management Team by the final template.
• Fabrication: Artistic Stone will need at least 5-10 business days to do the fabrication which will depend on the season, color and job details.
• Installation: Artistic Stone will need 1-2 business days for most of shower installation. Some jobs may take longer time.
